| Quote meast="meast"fully deserved win for rovers, who were impressive despite seemingly not ever getting out of 3rd gear, FC were abysmal, no leaders, no direction, and seemed like the only tactic they had was to trundle up the middle and kick.
thought the game lacked any intensity whatsoever, apart from the rovers fans, a poor atmosphere ..it just seemed to lack any kind of passion, fire or intensity.
very disappointed, had been looking forward to a cracking tussle amid a passionate derby atmosphere.'"
You must get a different impression on TV Meast. I was right down near the touchline in the West Stand and it certainly seemed very intense from down there.
You're right about the atmosphere though. Not stirring it but I think the FC fans could have got behind their team more.

| Don't know about other FC fans but I've had any sort of enthusiasm ground out of me by week after week of that dross. It's boring abd virtually impossible to get excited about. How we still get 5 figure crowds I'll never know.

| Yeah I think the atmosphere is largely due to how Hull played and how their season is going. Had it been played at KR's place it would've seemed much different.
You're right about KR not really needing to hit top gear though. They seemed happy to control the lead they had in the second half and didn't go looking to push things to extend the gap. Could be a sign of not wanting to make mistakes that allow the opposition back into it (wise from them as we know they can score points, but sometimes you need to manage and see games out sensibly) or a case of knowing its Easter and another game in a few days and keeping a bit on the tank for the next match.
Either way, after a slow start to the year defensively which looked like it could cost them in the long run, they do look a good contender for the top 8.....think between them, Widnes and Salford for the last spot. Wakey and Hull FC I already can't see making it.

Us Hull fans showed our passion by turning up in numbers, but we not fools and this dire result and performance has been a long time coming. Games at the KC have been flat for years now with a nervous atmosphere as we sit and wait to see what dross the club can serve up.
We have the fanbase and the ground to be a top4 side hut repeatedly mess it up and have done for the last 7 years under 2 different owners and 4 different head coaches. Expect crowds to nose dive at the KC unless Radford goes.

| Game won as soon as that penalty goal is slotted
Cue on the rack reserving energy for Monday.
I think if we really wanted to we could have scored 2-3 tries in that second half

| But wait a minute - Isnt Adam Pearson the messiah who was leading the club to the big time? I'm sure I heard this from the Hull fans every pre-season for about 4 years....
I like he look of Hull KR though - a decent pack with grunt up the middle and some classy halves... They're probably a strike 2nd row or centre away from being a real top team...
Their signings are playing very well, particularly Campese and Kelly. I must admit, I thought Maurice Blair would be a fat and lazy waste of space, but his defence is terrific - very impressed with what they're doing - big Dane Tilse whilst no superstar certainly ain't gonna weaken their team.
Too many Aussies for my liking - but I could say that about many clubs.

| Rovers will only get better, there pack isn't too great at the moment but they have class all over and lots of confidence. Throw on top a loud bunch of fans to get there team going, there club seems to be on the rise.
They are the last team I want the Giants to play away from home on Monday.
Hull FC, quite the opposite. They do have great players in there team but even when they needed points, just seemed to stick to Plan A. Drive and kick. Won't be long before the coaches structures will frustrate the players.
I can't believe we got nilled by them. How bad was we!
Hull FC can be good, with a good coach.
