| Hull and their fans deserve tons of credit for those ticket sales, especially considering the start they've had. Just goes to show the potential in our game when clubs go about promoting and advertising their games properly. Hope the game and atmosphere match the build up now!

I have no doubt that a HullFC team consistently in the top4 making finals could average 15k+ but for now we are the perenial underachievers!
Been good to see that Hull and Rovers have worked together to promote the game and have entered a gnetlemans agreement not to raise prices when each other visits (Rovers have in the past charged FC fans £10 more for that awful stand miles from the pitch, and FC started playing similar petty games with the away pricing too)
Here's to a good weekend of rugby league!

| Take 2,000 off the Wakefield, Widnes and Huddersfield gates and it might be closer.

Yes, but he's right !
A couple of the other games are under the mark though so, the overall figure may not be too far off.

| updates on the predictions
Hull FC vs Hull KR: 20k
Wigan vs St Helens: 25k (will be a little under this due to restrictions but will be nearer 25k than 24k hopefully)
Wakefield vs Catalans: 4k
Widnes vs Warrington: 10k optimistic prediction
Castleford vs Leeds: 11k
Huddersfield vs Salford: 6k
so should be looking at 75 to 76k which is not a bad all round effort, if leeds were at home 80k would have been surpassed.
what is the record for a 6 game round?

Our last "sell out" at the DW was about 23,800. The capacity is just over 25,000 but they have to leave 500 or so seats empty in the North and South stands due to unreserved seating, plus a few in the corner for the screen.

| looks like the original prediction of 80k was a bit optimistic as the curse of thursday rugby strikes again (outside of the hull derby)
hull v hull kr 20,507
wakefield v catalan 3,015
widnes v warrington 7,768
i can see the logic in playing thursday on a short turnaround, but its clearly at a cost of fans through the turnstiles

| Is Wakey's ground still restricted to 5,000? If so the original prediction was always going to be off.

Indeed. Even 70k is not certain at this stage.
