| The travel will be devastating. I don't see it working. But there are much better ways to develop an international footprint. This scheme won't add or strengthen a single RL nation outside the big three.
It makes much more sense to have more French teams in SL. Toulouse should have been admitted ages ago. Marwan Koukash would be better advised to focus his efforts on getting Nigel Wood to admit Toulouse to the Championship and then focus efforts on a third French club being admitted such as Avignon. Ultimately there needs to be a team from Paris as well. Koukash could help this French development.
In Avignon there are a couple of Moroccan players. Using his Arab connections he could use Avignon as a pathway for Moroccan and Lebanese players, whose development he could help fund in their own countries. I don't mean that Avignon should be a wholly Arab team, just a place where Arab players get a good look in, and thereby enable Avignon to be promoted as an Arab sympathetic team in Lebanon and Morocco, where the club can have its SL games telecast from Europe every week. That will boost the game in France, Lebanon and Morocco. The scheme that Marwan is now proposing will not.

47035_1386433761.gif We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_47035.gif |

| He's good entertainment value though. If we wanted exposure like the WWE, he is the heel.

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

Yep, including 18 months for deliberately breaking an opponent's jaw, if I remember correctly. At which point he came over here and finished his career without any trouble. Oddly, he was a very quiet and polite bloke to talk to off the pitch.

| Boyd smashed Daryl Brohman's jaw and ended his career with a premeditated elbow. Got 12 months, wasn't back long and then picked up a 15 month suspension for eye-gouging.
At the time Jim Comans was on a purge to clean up the game in Australia, and Boyd gave him the perfect opportunity to put down a marker. If you watch some of the NSWRL stuff from the pre-Comans period, it was like Mad Max. Knees and elbows flying in everywhere, players being king hit and taken out off the ball.
