London Irish 1988-1990, a mid-table Courage League Division Two side, in the days of (sh)amateur RU, this when all you needed to play for The Exiles was a slight accent.
Luton Town 1979 - a mid table Second Division side. Christ, half of my mates had football scholarships back in the 80s, it wasn't that difficult.
Basketball 1982 - when only a handful of people on these isles knew anything about the sport, and even fewer played.
