| Sounds like a great result. What's our record like against the schoolboys?

| England played very well, especially in defence where they had the Ausies running out of ideas to break them down. The only time Australia got any success was when they played straight and very fast, tactically going into collisions with the aim of finding their elbows and knees and gaining quick play the balls. There were two phases in the game where they did this really well and they dragged penalties out of the stretched England defence. On both occasions they scored soft tries due to the fatigue and disjointed defencive line. Other than that the England team shut down the Australian attacks very effectively.
In attack England's better footwork and cleverer lines found holes through the middle of Australia's defence. In the end it was a comprehensive win and certainly doesn't flatter England.

Which England players, in which positions, had the footwork? England's senior team needs such players ASAP.

All the back rowers, both centres and the full back had a lot of success stepping through the Ausie defence. Some slick handling constantly found space and overlaps out wide and the young Roos scrambled well on many occasions to prevent scores.
There were long periods where Australia penned the England team inside their own 30 but even with the resulting good field position Australia couldn't crack the defence.
Frustration crept into Australia's game and they made quite a few errors as a result, they also started a couple of brawls when they felt the game being taken away from them.

| William will be along soon to tell us that the penalty count was 62-3 in England's favour.

I haven't counted but my impression at the game was that Australia benefited significantly from the penalty count
Ref had a mare and made some strange decision

What fantastic news! Congratulations to all involved. What a filip to the confidence of the young Super League players, youngsters generally coming into Rugby League not to mention the game as a whole in this country. Just need the senior team to win next year's Test Series v New Zealand.

| Both centres, FB, entire Back row and 10 impressed me. 7 had a better game but we got hold of the Aus 6 which we didn't do on saturday
Ref leant the Aus way imo, with a small 10m most game especially when we were coming off our line. The Aus team seemed to believe they could bully our pack out of the game and at 16-14 they were well on top but a mistake and an interception broke the dominance

| I was sickened that I could not go the game last night due to my health, but I did manage to get a commentary of the game. It sounded a good match and according to the commentators I was imagining England under constant pressure from the Aussies, their defence must have been tremendous.
For W Eve, unless the commentators were looking at the game cockeyed then the penalty count did sound to be certainly in Oz's favour, so there!
I never heard much mention of our scrum half, not once in the first half and on only two occasions in the second, can anyone enlighten me on how his game went this week? He may have had a very good defensive game........ don't know on that score as there was not much reference to individuals on that front only that England's defence was very good overall.
