Quote: Dreamer "This reminds me a bit of when my club, Keighley, signed Joe Grima. Joe was massive for the club both on the pitch and off. He spent a lot of time in schools getting kids down to matches and in local companies raising sponsorship. He organised a convoy of coaches with 1000 kids on a trip to an international at Wembley. I don't think that feat has ever been bettered. I'm pretty sure he repaid the sign on fee many times over.
Fui Fui has the potential to be big for Leigh but first and foremost he will have to be fully fit to take some of the big hits that are undoubtably coming his way. Every chancer in the League will want to be the one to do a "Burgess" on him.
Good luck to Leigh for the ambition, it will be interesting to see how he goes. I might even pop over to Halifax when they play.'"
I think the BIG HITS in the Championship, he will certainly receive, will undoubtedly be the most frightening aspect for him of coming to Leigh and R/L here. I mean the NRL has no BIG hitters therein, does it?
I like the rest of your comment but I do think that he will be capable of taking(not to mention GIVING)a couple of those after so many seasons within the NRL.
I watched the NRL avidly last season and to be honest was a little confused over why he was suddenly considered not good enough any more, as he was doing just the same as he has always done and often with as much impact as he always provided.
Good signing age or not he will add interest to the Leigh side if nothing else and could even turn out to be a good player there also.
