| Quote: JB Down Under "Not sure Wellington is big enough to sustain an NRL team, the union club seems to struggle and that game is much bigger. Hurricanes made a financial loss last year and avg less than 11,000 fans. That would put them as one of the worse supported clubs in the NRL. If RL could be more popular than S15 in Wellington is an interesting question?'"
They would almost certainly be more entertaining though, wouldn't that be a plus in the Orca's favour?

| With the success of the Four Nations and the world cup in 2017, a second team being introduced just a year after this would be a great way to encourage more fans into the sport because there is clearly some interest there. If the marketing was done properly, they could play the New Zealand derby at Eden Park and probably fill it, that would be a great spectacle.

Striking whilst the irons hot isn't a trait associated with league, but you are right. 50,000 at Eden and 35,000 at the cake tin bolted on every year.......

| More good news regarding NZII.
AU $1,000,000 a year for 10 years is a significant wedge....and shows that a 2nd team would be viable, especially if it was based across 2 or even 3 centres.
rlhttps://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/league/65562068/bid-for-second-new-zealand-nrl-team-gets-boost-with-feeder-team-announcedrl
Winning the 4 Nations, the season Launch held in Auckland and the 9's assured to be here for at least another 4 years all point to the NRL being unable to ignore the massive potential for the game here.

Well said.
Would you look to be involved with a new NRL club in Wellington in some capacity if it was to happen?
