Despite having little time for him previously, I think persisting with McNamara may be the best option - the team is clearly a work in progress but the fact that there is progress is good. I'd take soundings from the senior players though. McDermott may be an option if they feel McNamara is done.

No way can Wane be involved with England - it's just inappropriate after the background to the Flower scandal and given what most elite players think of the Wigan approach to Rugby League.

People talk as though we are miles away when the reality is we have been a missed tackle and a bad video refereeing decision away from two finals in the last twelve months. This is a mostly young group of players that have made this the best England team since we got rid of GB. Any perceived mistakes made can be learned from by both players and coaches. To make changes to the coaching now could derail all the massive improvements we have made and would only be compounded further if the only realistic option decided he didn't want the job.

Given that there's a world of difference between coaching a club side and coaching an international side, that's a moot point.

Although I suspect you already know that.

people say he's been unlucky 3 times in the last 3 big games. If it happens that often it isn't luck it's a pattern.
