If Hohaia was a bigger man he would have knocked Flower out and broken his jaw. He didn't deserve to be punched on the ground, but he definitely deserved the first punch which knocked him out and should have also been sent off.Maybe he should have thought about that before he sprinted 20 years to elbow Ben Flower in the head.

I am a big fan of football. Ask any Newcastle fan about him and they will go from flash to bang in about a millisecond. Owen missed nearly an entire season due to being made of balsa wood, whilst on ridiculous wages at Newcastle. He then went to the workd cup and lasted 90 seocnds before he did his ligaments and was out for a further 8 months (he had not recovered from his prevous injury and was a huge risk). I don't think he 'hit him', they collided while chasing the kick. And regardless, I'm not sure what Hohaia was expecting to happen by attacking a 17 stone prop from behind and trying to cheap shot him with a forearm smash to the jaw. Absolutely no sympathy, he fully deserved to be knocked out. Again, if the roles were reversed and Hohaia was the bigger man then he would have knocked Flower out cold and probably broken his jaw. Obviously Hohaia didn't deserve to be punched on the ground, but the intent was there from both men, both should have been sent off and Flower shouldn't be singled out just because he's the bigger and stronger of the two.

On that basis Flower deserved to be knocked out by Hohaia's elbow.
