A bit bizarre.

I would have thought that would go to Castleford given their much improved league season and cup final appearance. Not meaning to knock Widnes but while making steady progress on-field they don't seem to have boosted their fanbase or done too much at academy level to put them ahead of Cas in regard to this award.

Has the sport embarrassingly bestowed the MoS award to the almost 37 year old veteran yet?

In the league they have just about scraped into the top 8, having finished 10th in 2013 so climbing a massive 2 places (as opposed to Cas' 8 places)
In the cup they managed to get to the semi-final without facing another SL club, and were then easily beaten. Cas made it to the final having beating favourites Wigan on their own ground in the process.
And let's not go into the fact the club have been warned, then fined and are still under investigation for the disgraceful behaviour of some of their supporters.
If that's what wins "Club of the Year" there is no wonder our game has little credibility.

Why would it be embarrassing, he thoroughly deserves the award. Only hill arguably is close.
