Quote: gutterfax "Lovegrove has struggled to get a game this year in a team that didn't make the top 8. '"
Quote: gutterfax "Lovegrove didn't 'struggle to get a game' at all. For some inexplicable reason, he appears to have been given the cold shoulder. He would be first on my teamsheet every week and I wish he was staying at HKR.'"
Quote: gutterfax "YES I agree with you. I think it stems from the Sandy times. He for some reason did not like him. Me I think he was good to still be playing for us'"
So the Hull KR fans show gutterfax to be totally misinformed about the quality of Rhys Lovegrove.
Lovegrove was definitely of Super League standard. He wanted to leave Hull KR because his wife's family lives in or near London.
Quote: gutterfax "Wes Naiqama didn't get a top tier place in 2014 and is 32 years old'"
Naiqama didn't get a top tier place at 4th placed NRL club Penrith because he had Kiwi star Dean Whare and State of Origin colossus Jamal Idris in front of him. Otherwise he would have been playing. He is a Super League quality centre and extremely good value for the Championship.
Quote: gutterfax "William Barthau has been a fringe player at the Dragons for 4 seasons and was part of an embarrassing french team at the RLWC.'"
The French team was embarrassing but that doesn't make Barthau embarrassing. For years he has had very good halves Dureau and Bosc in front of him at Catalans, as well as this year former Canberra half Sam Williams. He is not top class like the diminutive Theo Fages but he is definitely good enough for the Championship top 4.
Quote: gutterfax "Mathers is over 31yrs of age, has had more clubs than you can shake a stick at and was unwanted at another lower tier SL outfit.'"
This is a man who has played for Gold Coast Titans.
Quote: gutterfax "London Broncos squad doesn't feature 1 player that any of the 28 professional top tier RL clubs around the world deem worthy of a place and Players that the top 12 teams in Europe had no interest in are not going to win promotion to SL, either through the Million Pound game nor by finishing in the top 3 of the middle 8 set up.....they could win all 22 Championship games, then defeat their other championship clubs in the middle 8....the SL team they face in the Million Pound game will have 4 times the turn over and twice the cap available to them, as well as being battle hardened from visits to the top tier clubs.'"
Despite your false claims about the poor quality of the new recruits, it will be largely up to the pack --- Lovegrove, Slyney, Cordoba and others ---to determine whether the backs get a chance to show their undoubted attacking skills. Defeating the likes of Wakefield is definitely on the cards, even though Wakefield will be greatly strengthened by the likes of props Lopini Paea and Mickael Simon, whom they have stolen from the Catalans (who need their salary cap restricted funds to try to lure Todd Carney there for next year).
