Quote: Snowy "I disagree with this, and I think a winning team will keep you above 1000 easily. If anything, it might generate more home fans.'"
Nobody knew we existed in SL.......even fewer will know now we've dropped down.
Quote: Snowy "I think you may be underestimating the amount of travelling fans the likes of Leigh, Fev and Halifax send, never mind Bradford.'"
I've heard tales of the massed hordes of HKR travelling fans......alas, they are the 12th biggest draw in London from the 21 teams who have visited.. Leigh's one visit south in 2005 drew 400 less than that seasons average and fax over 9 SL visits sit 15th of 21 clubs who have played us in the capital.
Attendances (and their direct correlation to income and survival) at London's SL club are my chosen mastermind topic. That said, even I was shocked at how many fans just didn't bother with the Hive this year. More people paid to watch us play Wigan, Saints and Leeds at the Stoop in 2008 than will have bothered ALL YEAR THIS YEAR......
Quote: Snowy "It a new venture, and I think you may be surprised.'"
It is not a new venture......it is another form of franchising with 2 less teams. London are still owned by the cluless oil broker and until that changes, the clubs losing culture will remain.
Quote: Snowy "Looking forward to it already.'"
as am I. It's just that less and less other london fans seem bothered each year....
