| Not only was he not sent off but he wasn't even spoken to about it at the time. I was at the game and in real time there seemed to be absolutely nothing in it. Just looked like an accident collision. No getting away from the footage though, looks really bad. Just very strange how nothing was picked up at the time. Nobody even mentioned it really. I can only assume the match director or whatever they're called reported it.

| Just seen the footage on that well known site and to say that he could have avoided contact with the ref would be an understatement.
It appears that
Hock may have thought that the guy in the yellow shirt had the ball.
What was he trying to do ??

| Scoring under the posts?? Hock tried to pick the ball up on the run but the full back got there 1st. There then appears to be a deliberate step and a dipped shoulder into the ref. Been great for us this season but can't condone that (Although I did try to without 1st seeing the replay!).

| Quote Yorkshire_Red="Yorkshire_Red"Good on you for not letting the fact that you haven't seen the incident stop you from passing judgement.
I have seen the incident & I'm flabbergasted that time is being wasted on charging him for it. There was a certain try if he could have taken the ball in and his eyes never left the ball until collision was inevitable. Are all players now to be required to check that the referee has not taken up a position in line with their run before they set off?
There, having added my eyewitness account, I'll leave it those of you who didn't see it to seek justice & to punish accordingly.'"
having seen your second post on the subject have retracted my origanal reply
at the game it looked nothing but an accident, but on second viewing, he should be banned until next season!

| Quote John Gilbert Reds="John Gilbert Reds"As opposed to your view, because you were obviously there?

Ps both clubs and journos tweeted about the incident, all said accidental too.'"
so did we, easy too during the match and not on tv!
people can have different views upon seeing video replays, deliberate intention to take out the ref! did all that coke mash his brain cell up!?

| According to sporting life Hock's deliberate collision caused the ref to lose the pea in his whistle, surely thats a 6 match minimum ban.

| The angle from far back looks worse than the close up one doing the rounds.
If you look at the close up one, he gets his hand to the ball as it flies by but can't drag it in. At the very same time, due to the speed Shaul is coming across at he tries to drag it in and past Shaul to step in the other direction and score rather than just plowing over the top of him. It seems like an attempt at being clever that's gone wrong.
The only thing I can't understand is the motion and dipping to tackle the ref after. Think there is some mitigation as to why they ended up colliding but his attempt to pull out leaves a lot to be desired.
I'll go for 5 games.
