| If it was intended to be a parody of the Footy Show, then they succeeded. Unfortunately for them it wasn't, and I'll use that word cringey again.
That said, I applaud them for trying. With the advent of Full-time, Back Chat and Superstars, Boots N All has become very stale, and a fresh approach to a rugby magazine show is needed. However:
1) Don't try and do it for an hour and a half, they don't have smooth enough content for that length of time. I couldn't bare to watch a full 90 minutes. Start with 30 minutes to an hour and then expand once they have started to get into a rhythm.
2) Stop trying to be the Footy Show. Almost every segment was a mirror of what they do but 50 times worse. Beau Ryan imitating players is at best quirky, at worst annoying. Wayne Godwin in a bald cap shouting "Larndan" over and over is embarrassing and highlights the parochial nature of our game at the moment. Is Dan Sarginson being southern one of the funniest things we can mimic? If so, bin that segment. (And don't get me started on him blacking up to be JJB...)
3) Try to do it live. For all its faults, Boots N All was able to jump immediately on the Bradford points story last night. Rugby AM sounded like it was recorded before the Challenge Cup. Being outdated doesn't help.
It was a valiant effort and I hope it grows, but they need a lot of work.

| It needs an awful lot of work and some resources spent on it but the idea is a good one although it seemed to drag on, maybe an hour would be better. A little more diversity might also help as yesterdays show made the flat clap and whippet myth seem pretty much bang on.

| For it to be understandable they need to up their sound budget, or get JJB to speak slower, Senior to say something interesting, and stop Kirkmond from acting like a little shy Hobo. I found myself mesmerized by Walker's missus (Maybe it was just the dress) but she appeared to be nothing more than eye candy, which was a shame as she seemed to be the most confident one presenting. While I like Godwin he just seemed to be present so we could all have a good look at why he looks like a badly burnt tortoise without a shell.
Most of the segments were pretty good, with the exception of Godwin's dressing-up segment which highlighted the fact that he should be doing something else at his age. Like emptying bins or something.
I'll watch again because, well, we don't have anything else do we? But I'm sure that they will improve over time.

| The game has been crying out for something like this. Alex simmons has done loads to just get to this stage, no one should slate the show as they are trying to get rugby league on the map, it started in a garage and since they have been to oz to look at how they do things there. Yes the sound quality wasnt great but they are on a low budget. I thought that the long interviews got a bit boring but they are just trialling things out because they are all knew to it. It will only keep getting better and in my eyes that was a great start, credit to all of them for getting off their backsides and trying to make something of our sport. Though wagga's impressions were awesome had me in tears. Only thing is kirmond needs a bit more experience to improve with jones buchanon not going off on one because you cant hear a word he is saying. the roadtrip was a bit cheesy but a good idea with work. Lots of potential in my opinion, well done guys!

| Thought it had some good bits and some that should never see the light of day again. It was very "Footy Show" and perhaps needs to move away from that a little.
The interviews were good - the Tony Abbott one particularly, but Mick Morgan is always good value, as was the "bottleless get". I didn't mind the fans trip to Bradford and that could be a good section, as could going to junior clubs.
I like that some players seem to have bought into it and Alex Simmonds was good too, although the players need some media training. JJB was incomprehensible in parts, although quite funny.
But the Wagga impressions bit was awful. A rip off of Beau Ryan's clowning on the Footy Show, which I don't like anyway, but which seemed to consist of in-jokes being shouted while wearing different wigs (as well as the impressionist's downfall of saying "I'm so and so" because you can't actually tell who it is). Once is enough.
The show could be good, but it needs to be shorter, and needs to focus on issues within the game and game coverage (difficult as Sky have this) as well as more lighthearted sections.
The sound was bad but I'm not worried about that at this stage. The tech budget must have been about a fiver, but the content showed some promise, which is more important.

| Don't know we're all this cringeworthy stuff is coming from, or criticising accents.
I enjoyed it and reckon the team who put this together along with Premier sports should be applauded.
Cracking stuff and hopefully there'll be lots more to come.

| I enjoyed the show and will watch it again next week
It was their first effort on a shoe-string budget. The Footy Show is in their 21st year with a decent budget. Although they did copy a few segments from the FS, it's best not to compare the two really.
In time I'm sure they'll drop what doesn't work and put more effort into the things that did.
The discussion with the Halifax chairman, the lad from the Harry Potter films and the referree/Mick Morgan discussion I enjoyed.
For the 'it does the game no favours' people, realistically, with it being on Premier Sports, how many non-RL fans would be able to watch it anyway?

| Is any of this online anywhere? Have seen the radio show videos and been to one of their social club nights.

| Surely this should be called Rugby PM, I know they are copying of Soccer AM but that is on in the morning!
I don't think the name will make any difference though, as it was probably the most amature TV show I've seen since the late 70s!

| I don't understand why a sport needs a comedy programme, leave it to the people paid to do that sort of thing and stick to rugby league.
