Quote: Mild Rover "14.5k in 2007 off the back of a grand final appearance in 2006 and silverware in 2005, and prior to the banking bubble going pop will remain a high water mark for a while, I fear. That was with two home SL derbies when they were still a novelty too. Hull is a decent-sized second-tier provincial city. It does well to support 3 professional 'football' teams as well as it does. I'm struggling to think of anywhere of a similar size that does... Bristol I suppose, with their City, their Rovers and the RU team. All struggling at the moment.
Hull KR, when we were averaging over 8k, worried about needing to add roughly the same number to the gate that we've now lost.

Edit - even in the RU premiership, where the fans are relatively economically cosseted (or so it is widely perceived) attendances peaked at an average of 13745 in 09-10 and have dropped steadily, down to 12175 this season.'"

Hey, stop talking sense! There's repetitive trolling to be had.

Thursday night games are daft IMO....I'm a pass holder but had to miss this match and the cup match and also the derby this week due to having set holidays and being at work 5pm to 3am

But that's the same for anyone who has to work either Friday nights or weekends.

The biggest reason against Thursday night games, in my opinion, is that it's a school night for kids.
