Was clearly a st's knock on before that try. Ref was to blame for not going to VR but touchie even more so, he was 2 metres away and dead in line. He should have called it when it happened.

I think most of what you post is rubbish, but I do agree with you on the subject of referees. When they make a glaring error then it is to be expected that people will talk about it. But this constant appraisal of every thing they do is tedious beyond belief.

Of course they will get things wrong, just like players and coaches get things wrong. They get one look at something that might happen in the blink of an eye and then have to make a ruling on it. It's easy to criticise a wrong decision when you get to see numerous replays from different angles. When I'm at a game and think we have being wronged, most of the time I watch the replay and it turns out the ref was right. The thing I hate the most is the fans who think the refs/RFL have some sort of agenda against them. It's pathetic.

I can't really agree with the players not cheating comment though. It would be nice if players called fouls on themselves, but this isn't snooker or golf. It is an intense game and players are always going to try to see how far they can push the rules in order to get an advantage. That's the way it has always been and it's not going to change.

The refs aren't perfect, but show me a sport where they are, I haven't seen one. Let them get on with their jobs.

I don't mind people talking about dodgy calls, but it seems the only call up for discussion is the last one. The other 20 or 30 are relegated to lesser importance, but people miss that all calls have unknown outcomes and if you change one of those calls it changes all things that follow from it.

So the last one is no more or less critical than the others that were or were not given.

They are? I've seen plenty a thread, more so than about any individual ref, slagging them off for x, y or z.


I'd say it's more someone has done the things you say and HASN'T been pulled up on it that people moan about. Nothing about being caught. In fact, players are often caught and nothing done about it, and that's what gets up people's noses.

How about we get real and realise people will do this? It's like saying the solution for crime is for people to stop breaking the law. That's not a solution. That's just idealism and that achieves nothing.
