Quote SmokeyTA="SmokeyTA"But that’s what they done, they have decided not to buy the club because of the points deduction, they were willing to take the risk without the points deduction, not willing with it. They have some complaints about the process.
The new owners haven’t gone bust, they never did. Someone else did. The new owners aren’t willing to take that hit for someone elses actions.
The worst way to ensure the Bulls don’t go bust again is to reduce their TV money and pretty much guarantee them relegation.
I don’t see why the RFL shouldn’t take responsibility for making the Bulls so unattractive a proposition that someone willing to buy them no longer is and im not sure why that person owes it to the RFL to keep their unhappiness secret.'"
So what your saying is, if they got it cheap from the administrators, and given all they could to make sure they kept the bright lights (and financial income) of super league then it was a deal, otherwise they weren't interested - if I could have the guaranteed payments like those mentioned for superleague clubs I'd be interested too. The reality is club ownership is nothing but an expensive hobby, and Moore hasn't seemed willing to pay (and in fact is the second time they've walked out)
We've done the reduced tv money thing to death, it was agreed to by bulls (whatever iteration it was) and mark Moore was aware of it coming into the club. Nothing has been sprung on him today, like he claims.
Yes we can argue the semantics of the phrase "the bulls went bust" and how it wasn't the new owners etc but it's the same with everyone in every sport - pick up the club cheap, you have to tidy up the previous owners mess. And that includes sanctions from the governing body. - whoever bought rangers for a pound, got a great deal, the flip side, they have to start in division 3 - it's the way it works. And mark Moore knew this.
Nobody but mark Moore forced him out of the club. I can kick and scream the rfl should make it so teams located within st.helens local area gets a 20 lead at the start of every match - and I won't go to a game or spend a penny in rugby league until otherwise - does that mean the rfl should give into my demands? Else the sport is "unattractive" to me
