Quote: William Eve "Difficult to judge whether it was a good crowd at Bradford or not.
Better than last season's attendance against Cas... 8,214 compared to 7,724... but they didn't play Cas at home in Round 1 last season... they played Wakey at home in Round 1 last season and the attendance was 10,263.
That 10,263 attendance turned out to be Bradford's 2nd highest home attendance of 2013 (only the attendance against Leeds was higher... 12,016). If today's 8,214 attendance turns out to be their 2nd highest home attendance in 2014, they are in even bigger trouble than they already are... if that's possible.'"
What a contrived, if-my-aunty-had-balls load of piffle.
Why would our crowd v. Cas today be expected to be our 2nd highest home attendance? Did you get Cas and Wakey mixed up in your urge to be negative? If we got 10263 for Wakey last time then it obviously won't drop by 2K this season. The more pressing issue for Bulls fans is whether we'll still exist, and whether we'll be able to fulfil the fixture.
Quote: William Eve "We all know that Round 1 attendances are often higher than usual because fans are excited by the start of a new season.'"
Never has there been such a dispirited and fecked off feeling lurching into the new season. Bulls fans excited? Most years you'd be right. This year - we have only foreboding, dread of the next announcement and concern for the thin and lightweight squad which seems as dangerously precarious as our finances.
