| Removing Thursday night games should have been the number one demand before signing the new contract.
That is an awful move. Unfair on the fans, and poor for audiences.

Poor audiences? Most people are sat at home bored of a Thursday night, where as Saturday evening most people are busy enjoying their weekends.

| Quote salford1970="salford1970"Just had a quick look, breakdown for teams being shown is as below. Only 37 games being shown which is a shame.
Wigan 10
Leeds 9
Saints 9
Warrington 8
Hudds 7
HKR 6
Catalan 4
Cas 4
Hull 3
Bradford 3
Salford 3
London 3
Wakey 2
Widnes 2
Rooster 1
Feel especially sorry for Wakey and Widnes as one of the two games they are on is between each other so they get very little live coverage. In a perfect world all the teams would get reasonably equal coverage but that doesn't make ratings.
One question that comes from it, how much does each team get paid for their live game? If there is a fee for appearances then the likes of those at the top end will be getting financial advantages over the less shown teams, which does seem kind of imbalanced. Maybe there is no payment but I would be surprised if that was the case.'"
if the lower teams start to win more matches and get in the playoffs or big games then they will get shown more... huddersfield have worked their way up to being shown more now.
dont believe teams get paid money to be on sky sports more, the money is shared out equally from the tv deal amongst each club

| Are Sky promoting Super League whilst ignoring the Winter Olympics, hence is RL bigger than the Olympics ?!?!?!?!?

One of the matches scheduled is Leeds v London. Even now that has the hallmark of a one sided boring game with lots of points for Leeds, at home.
Surely this isn't the best match that week?
Why did the schedulers not look at the fixture list and plump for a game that week that, on historical basis, offered a better chance of a close fought tie?
The RFL should be sitting down with Sky and working out the schedule, doesn't mean we don't have the bigger teams on less, just the ties shown are all crackers (no offence London but you are on a hiding to nothing, pardon the pun, when you go to Leeds).

you get the closer games in the 2nd half of the season which are shown on sky sports. in theory anyway as they are the games which have more riding or interest in them.
got to have some variety in the first half of the season and show london too

Built for TV audiences, not the match going support. Wonderful.

No problem with showing games involving the lower-ranked teams, but why London away to Leeds? Why not a more evenly matched game with both sides having a chance of winning? Having said that, if London win at Leeds I wouldn't want to miss it.

Well unless they're total hypocrites who twist scenarios to suit some pathetic agenda then William Eve & Gutterfax will definitely believe so, yes.
Biggest dedicated sports channel in the country showing RL all day while ignoring the Winter Olympics.
How's that for a WC legacy!
