On the ostensible topic of the thread, it is obvious to all and sundry that Wigan after the loss of Tomkins, Richards and Mossop, with Matt Bowen not yet given time to gel with his halves, is going to suffer an almighty walloping.

I suspect a 20-30 point margin is in the offing.

'sans' means 'without'....moron.

It was a serious question, Wigan without Tomkins, how will they get on in this game, against the best club team in the world.

It wasn't wrongly capitalised, I was wittily changing the club name from Wigan Warriors to Wigan Sans Tomkins. A bit like Wigan Saint Patricks if you will.

I incorrectly assumed the readers of the forum would know that 'sans' meant without.

I was clearly wrong.
