The competition sponsors are on the sleeves anyway. As they are for other major sporting competitions in this country, e.g the Premier League.

Australia's east coast is the most over-saturated and competitive sports market on the planet. Almost every single league has the comp logo over the breast instead of the sleeve.

Maybe, just maybe, there's a good reason for this...
