Forgot to add an anecdote to the thread yesterday:
One of the most pleasing things to see yesterday was that we were sat next to a young Cockney lad and his Grandad. This was his first RL game he had ever been too, and his Grandad hadn't been to a live RL game since a GB test at Wembley in the 90s. The young lad was captivated by the game, and both stayed well in the 2nd half of the Aussie-Fiji game despite how much on a non-contest it was, and the weather turning increasingly cold.
that to me is 2 new fans 'converted' and I'm sure there were many more in the stands and watching on TV that got the buzz of the game too. The challenge of course is to keep them.
