| I reckon a afternoon game like the previous games involving England would have sold out
Saturday evenings a a different story

| 8pm is a very odd time for a game on a Saturday night, especially with no Premier League football, do you reckon it was to do with the Autumn Internationals in Yawnion?
I went to both games today, and i must say, whilst the Wrexham crowd was far from great, it still had 5,800 there, which i assume would have been much higher had Wales actually been there. However, i was pleasantly surprised that everyone around me, was Welsh, and really getting into it, which i thought was great.
Perhaps one of few mistakes the organisers made for this world cup, was awarding two games to Wrexham, unfortunately Wales hugely disappointed, and maybe an area like St. Helens, or Halifax would have done better, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
An excellent attendance in Wigan tonight, a great one in Leeds last night too, and hopefully we'll be knocking on the door of a sell out tomorrow, because tomorrows game for me, will be the highlight of the tournament, barring the final!

| I think having Wales in Group B instead of France would have been a far better bet for crowds.
France would probably sell out games against anyone (or at least get huge crowds) and could really have done with the momentum.
Wales vs Cook Islands was never going to be a big draw, and playing at Neath basically was telling potential punters "we don't think much of this game".
Wales vs PNG in the double header, NZ at Swansea and Samoa at Wrexham would have achieved far greater crowds.

| There has got to be a big push to sell tickets for Wembley this week. IMO promotion has stalled despite the on field performances being excellent

| I don't think we can say sales have stalled because one quarter final was not five figures.
50+k
covering all quarter finals is not shabby at all.

| Any more than 70,000 at wembley is a massive success!
The two games to be played there wouldn't have attracted the same amount of people if played separately. Wish I could afford the train ticket down!
Come on England!!!!

| Quote brearley84="brearley84"some on here said once England got to wembley.'"
show of hands who thought there was any chance of England not being at Wembley?
I feel slightly redeemed after my earlier 360k ticket prediction being blown out of the water.....I predicted Australia v Fiji and , New Zealand v England would be the 4 teams and 2 games there.....
.....I still say that Evans and his lot will bust a gut filling Wembley this week........70k easy!
