But back on topic, died on his terms and done more than anybody could have done. A true hero especially over the last seven years or so. Condolences to his family.

Besides his illness lets not forget just what a good player he was, Super League champion and Challenge Cup winner, Wembley try scorer, good attacking full back.

Simply want to say RIP Steve Prescott. An amazing human.

I think Man of Steel is very fitting for him, because his bravery in the face of his illness was truly inspiring and he was a man of steel, RIP Steve.

Such sad news.

A true hero both on and off the pitch. I was privileged enough to get to watch him play in the black and white and also to meet him in person.

I hope they rename the award but even of they don't his legacy is such that he won't be forgotten for a long time.
