I'd be shouting that from the rooftops if I were the RFL.'"
They've sold easily in excess of 50k so far so that 83,000 is a very realistic target once more people see the World Cup on the TV and it is advertised to them.

I've said previously in this thread, but an England win on Saturday would, commercially, be fantastic for the tournament. I'd fully expect a rush on tickets for the final and Wembley if England get a positive result.

| Quote Speccy="Speccy"Originally, there were certain people predicting that there wouldn't be 30,000 for the opener. With the recent predictions, those same people will now be saying that the game is in 'crisis',if there is less than 60,000 there. We all know who they are.
It seems that dispite the efforts of rlfans.com the competition is set to be a success.'"
Hey we've been advertising it for months, I think you mean a few depressed posters.......

| Well, I can't wait for the tournament to start and am looking forward to a festival of rugby league over the next few weeks (and a few beers in Cardiff tomorrow night).
It would be fantastic to have a huge crowd on Saturday, but all the indicators point to at least a very healthy one. Relax and enjoy, I will.

In spite of leagues legions of groaners moaners and gloom monkeys I for one am lovin the build up its way better than the last world cup ere in every respect build, media coverage, expected crowd figures, etc.I was coming down with 2 others but circumstances prevailed and theyve pulled out but never mind im on me own I m gonna have a few beers mingle and have a crackin time.Im being pragmatic about England chances but Im quietly optimistic if England keep mistakes down to next to none and Oz make a load of gaffs we can do it.

I think they have to be sensitive because the RFU has supported the competition. But if we do break the record I will be letting every union fan I have ever met know!

| No Sadfish,I mean precisely what I said,'despite the efforts of rlfans.com,the competition is set to be a success.
rlfans.com condone the two anti rugby league posters, dispite the requests of the vast majority of posters for them to be banned and therefore quite clearly rlfans.com is trying to undermine both rl and the tournament.
There have been repeated polite requests to ban the people in question, they have been banned by other sites, yet repeatedly rlfans.com condone their clear objectives.
