That's the deal which was struck 12 months ago when McNamara offered Sinfield the skippering gig alongside unconditional selection in the England team.
Is the world's best player up to the task for England?
We shall have to wait and see.'"
I hate to reply to trolls, and in particular, you - BUT, you have hit the nail on the head perfectly there - the fact Sinfield is the captain means Mcnamara has NO CHOICE but to pick him, and pick him in one of the pivotal positions, all of which he can cover but IMO whichever one he plays in we have better players than him for that position, so in an instance wherever Sinfield plays will weaken the side in that area -yes, Leeds fans i know he's a good leader of your team and he's won lots of medals but for me that counts for nothing in a national team against better players with different kinds of players around him. I hope i am wrong and he suddenly turns into an explosive/off-the-cuff/creative influence and helps us to win the World Cup, but i have my doubts that his 'leadership skills' will be enough for a player who is key and HAS to perform way above anything he's done before.
