| Quote Katrina="Katrina"Has anyone received their England V Ireland tickets yet?
We ordered ours months ago, and received them all of our tickets together about 4 or 5 weeks ago with the exception of the England V Ireland tickets. My brother ordered his last weekend and got them early this week!'"
Nope but they posted a message on the RLWC 13 website stating there had been an issue. It has now been rectified and tickets are on the way. If you haven't had them the week of the game, ring them and I am sure they'll sort out collection at the ground. I had an issue with Challenge Cup Final tickets; rang them two days before the match and they organised a pick up at the ticket office.

Your comprehension skills leave a lot to be desired Moschops.
Unlike the modern day SL fan, my attendance at SL games was never dependent upon the availability of heavily discounted season tickets or cheap offers. The same applies to my attendance at the RLWC as I purchased all mine in February before all the cheap promo deals kicked in... which I knew they would eventually... though not quite to the prolonged "give-away" extent they have been.
I quit attending SL games two seasons ago when it became apparent the SL product was crap and getting worse. But more importantly, because regular season fixtures had been rendered meaningless under the current structure as certain teams tossed it off instead - one team in particular and you know exactly which team that was
Never confuse lack of attendance and support at SL games with a lack of attendance and support of rugby league in general.

If we beat Australia it will be one of the best things that has happened for rugby league in a long time. People back winners, they don't particularly care what the sport is. This was perfectly demonstrated during the Olympics, people were getting passionate about sports they had never watched before in the life and probably haven't watched since. This is even more true against the old enemy, for me England v Australia is the biggest rivalry in world sport. Come on England!
Right, I am off to get the train to Irlam for a few scoops then over to the warm up game. Enjoy your stats Will!

That's fantastic
The bean counters will no doubt counter this with some quantum physics to prove its not a good news story.
The standing section at leigh as nearly sold out with around 4-500 tickets left
And they opened a couple more sections on the camera side so I presume tickets are selling well

Quote William Eve="William Eve"What would you consider a decent profit?
The rlwc2000 was considered a financial disaster overall, [url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/world_cup_2000/1043422.stmyet it still made a profit of £2 million[/url on the back of the sale of TV broadcasting rights. The Lincoln Financial Group paying £1 million upfront as naming sponsor of the tournament also contributed. The poor attendances for the tournament as a whole (263,961) probably contributed to the disaster it turned out to be.
Bearing in mind lots of tickets for the rlwc2013 have been sold at half price, there is no naming sponsor paying £1 million into the pot this time around, and Premier Sports can hardly be considered to have paid top dollar for their broadcasting rights, what attendances does the tournament need to achieve in order to make a decent profit and be considered a roaring success?'"
Sorry, but this is an absolute lie. Lincoln did not pay up the full money agreed (as they had money troubles themselves) and the 2000 RLWC tournament actually lost £700,000. I've included a couple of links to confirm this because I know you only like to work with facts. Obviously this is harder to fit your agenda.
