I'm not talking about me, i am someone that has various devices and tech savy, cable, ps3, ipad, roku to name a few but i am referring to millions of potential viewers not being able to access the channel, it is not the answer "oh you can get it online so just plug it in to your tv"...oh which the quality is still quite cr@p. I do get MLB and NFL game pass via my Roku and PS3 and the quality is HD but that is not the point.

It is the way it is, it's a shame Premier can't get their product on various tv platforms

Given that the best senario is having the games on Beeb or other free to air.

Then the rest is down to the bidders.

The RFL can't force Sky to take the rest of the games and it would be foolish to offer the rest of the games at a cheaper price to sky than to Premier sports.

Also bringing Premier sports in for this set of games, brings another TV player in for future bidding on RL games.

The fact that Virgin don't host Premier sports is neither here nor there. Virgin media don't host many channels. But if x TV programme gets their best offer to be shown on a channel not on Virgin, then it's down to Virgin to try and offer a better range.

I used to be a Virgin Customer and would go back, but just because they don't show sky atlantic does not mean I berate game of throne for being shown on SKY atlantic.

RLWC on TV is just another TV product and they need the best price for the product on offer.

The most important thing is England games live on the BBC. Everything else, as harsh as it may sounds, doesn't matter if they're on Sky, Premier or Information TV with greyhound races in the middle.

I've got Premier Sports, best decision I ever made. I get the NRL, Championship RL, the World Cup, football, NHL, GAA and others. I'm really looking forward to it because PS have pulled out the stops to make their presentation authentic and worthy. (Good luck doing that for the average RL that demands utter perfection 100% of the f*****g time).

So to all those who are complaining, tough s**t. If you don't have PS, tough s**t. Either subscribe to it, or quit whining.

I love premier sports, Getting the web player was the best thing I ever did. Not just for the live stuff but the catch up service aswell, Which is going to be a god send for the world cup.

We have sky downstairs but it's not my house and as we have a freeview virgin box in my room i've no chance of getting it on there, So got the web player and watch on my tv through a laptop.

In this day and age the amount of people who won't be able to watch a web player through some sort of device on their tv is probably not that large. When you consider you're only taking into account the amount of people who have virgin or BT tv to begin with.

Considering there is no lengthy contacts and for £10 for the month you can watch 25? rugby league world cup matches then I think it's brilliant value.


I said this when Premier first got the NRL and State of Origin, and I still believe now that they may very well end up with Super league one day.

I think some people are being very disrespectful to the fledgling Premier Sports. They were given the chance with the Championship, and what a good show they have made out of it. Plus they have made the contacts with the NRL, which comp, if not for Premier, it is highly unlikely we would be able to watch.

If Premier continue to work to the standards they have set then they can only grow, and more power to their elbow.

Seems the RFL had no choice, the world cup has to be on the BBC for the wider audience, sky didnt want to share so they had no choice.

anyone know how long the highlight shows are on for ? id guess 30mins on an evening?

as for premier sports, those that have it say do nothing but praise them so must be good, im signed up now for the world cup for £9.99 so cant complain
