| Quote Mark_W="Mark_W"Someone tell me what you get for £99!'"
The best views in the ground, access to the best catering facilities in the ground, plus 2 x high quality RL games featuring some of the best RL players the world has to offer and the Opening Ceremony.
Cardiff, Wembley and Old Trafford all have £99 seats. All are gone at Wembley and only a very small number are left at old Trafford. Cardiff have sold a lot of £99 seats as well. Arguably they have a few too many at Cardiff but they've sold in good numbers. The £79 seats at Wembley are all gone as are the vast majority of the £50 seats. The £60 seats at Cardiff are largely gone bar four blocks (L4, L5, L9 and L33).
Therefore you can conclude from this that there has been some very good demand for the more expensive tickets whilst there are adequate cheaper seats all around each ground, largely sold out for the ones currently available.

You requested a 5% safety blanket therefore you were.
Quote SmokeyTA="SmokeyTA"I wonder what that makes your 20% safety blanket?'"
There is no 20% safety blanket because I haven't requested one.

Correct.
I've attended somewhere in the region of between 40 and 50 RL games over the past 12 months.
None of them were SL games.
I no longer waste my time on meaningless SL fixtures.

| Quote SmokeyTA="SmokeyTA"As a minimum we should look to sell 300k tickets.'"
You believe 300k is acceptable as a bare minimum?
Bearing in mind almost 264k attended the 2000 World Cup and paid full price for their tickets... add in the fact that it also had a £1,000,000 sponsor (The Lincoln Financial Group)... and that it made huge losses and was considered a disaster...
Why would you consider 300k as a bare minimum ok figure in 2013 when the vast majority of folk are in attendance on the back of heavily discounted 50% off tickets and it doesn't have a named sponsor shelling out a million quid this time around?

One difference this time round is that all of the games are being staged at grounds that regularly host RL, so you would imagine that the rates we are being charged are lower than hiring out football grounds or Twickenham like in 2000.
also while the tournament hasn't got a main sponsor, Cardiff have shelled out a big fee to host the opener there, and other sponsors are on-board.

| Are we 100% that there were no discounted tickets in 2000???
Also if this tournament turns a profit would you agree that profit is the true measure of success?

A large chunk of the Final tickets were given away for free in the Manchester Evening News in 2000.

| Quote Guybrush="Guybrush"Not that it matters much, but if William says we can't count the double headers attendance twice, you can't divide it by 28.'"
Why would you want to count the attendance at a double header twice?
For example, let's say 60.000 attend Cardiff in two weeks time. You wouldn't count that 60,000 attendance twice... once for England V Australia and again for Wales V Italy would you?
There were 60,000 in paid attendance for two games... not 120,000.

I've paid for entry for 2 games at Headingley, does that mean I only count on one of them?
FWIW in Union they count the Double Header crowd for each game.

| Quote Fully="Fully"Still no Eng v Ire tickets here.
Spoke to the RLWC2013 ticket line yesterday. Lots of ambiguity. Tickets have been printed but don't know if or when they have been sent.
For all I know they could be lost in the post.'"
Same here and same explanation.
Looking like everyone who booked early for this game hasn't got their tickets. Ring a week before was all i got. Could be a massive problem if these have been nicked and resold because the match will be a sellout.

Are both those games covered by the purchase of just one ticket or the purchase of two tickets?
