Why are you so down on this years WC which seems destined to produce three crowds of over 40,000 and probably two of over 60,000. this has never ever been done before. Added to that an attendance of 20,000 plus at Huddersfield, a sellout of 18,000 at Avignon, probably over 10,000 for the other England group game, excellent attendances for minor games at Workington (2)and Rochdaleand maybe Halifax.

The other French home game in Perpignan will also probably top 8,000 and the Sonny Bill Williams factor has yet to be determined for NZ games.

I cannot understand why you are so depressingly negative when all the signs are overwhelming positive that this will be the best World Cup ever and a vast improvement over 2000.

I was there when there were only four teams in the World Cup, all games played in the North and in antiquated run down dumps of grounds. the last time GB won the cup against Australia in France the attendance was below 10,000 if I remember correctly.

I can understand picking the side facing the TV camera's. But when it comes to the ends, why is one open to the top and the other just the lower tier??

Why not 2 tiers at both ends?

The stadium is not symmetrical. The North Stand upper tier has a separate concourse and turnstiles to the rest of the stadium and so will probably be the last area opened.

funny, but I swear that I heard a radio advert yesterday from Gillette and ASDA promoting a special offer on RLWC razors at ASDA stores. Both of those are what I would class as MAJOR brands.

Neither are sponsors of the RLWC and ASDA are a local brand......

Am I really seeing some blocks at Cardiff priced at £99? And some are sold out too. £60 for the lower tier seems a bit expensive.

Nobody is claiming that it is season tickets themselves that are the problem. It's the people who don't want to go to other games throughout the season that aren't on the season ticket that are the problem. That is the mindset that has been created in the modern era.
