| Quote bewareshadows="bewareshadows"It seems pretty similar to me. Don't think there have been as many changes as other games in terms of sold out sections, but it could simply be a better spread of fans across the stadium.
'"
It is the same and hasn't been changed for a few weeks now despite me mithering them to do! If you use the ticket site website, the following sections are left available to buy two tickets together in the lower/middle tiers are:
Lower - L4, L5, L9, L27 (nearly gone!), L30 and L33
Middle - M4, M5, M14, M26, M27 (nearly gone), M34 and M35.
The Upper Tier has been selling well; not many left at all in the £25 South Stand area so really hoping they open up the Upper North Stand early next week. Expect the end sections of the Upper East Stand to look empty until you hit the £20 areas... weak sales there!

I doubt the Upper North Stand will be opened for the event since IIRC it has a separate concourse and turnstiles etc to the rest of the stadium.

I asked that question to the RLWC 13 on facebook:
Me - "Are there any plans to open the Upper North Stand at Cardiff or is that to be used last if required?"
RLWC 13 - "We anticipate that demand will result in all areas of every stadium being opened at RLWC2013, but our standard procedure is for isolated areas to be sold off initially. Hard to guarantee that the whole of the Millennium Stadium will be open, but the feeling is that it will."
I think they were a bit optimistic in their assertion but can't see them opening the Upper West Stand as cheaper seats...

The booking site says (for some reason) that tickets are unavailable which are identified as Grey blocks. However if you click on the block it opens for you to book tickets. I booked mine a couple of days ago and L9 was a Cat 2 price @ £60/£30cons. I can't fathom why the eticketing website still says "Not currently on sale". Any guesses?

Possibly that they are reserved for dignitaries and the like. If they plan on having everyone in Cardiff for the opening ceremony as per the Olympics I guess that would take up a fair few seats.

It's a fault - they've been open for public purchase for ages but ticketmaster have been too lazy to sort it out despite prompting. There was a similar issue with Huddersfield a couple of months ago and there is a glaring mistake for the first Wrexham game as well (can't click on coloured area but can on the grey areas behind)...

| Got our tickets for eng v ire in the post this morning. Good to see it selling out, surprised the England game at hull isn't as popular.

It is surprising I agree, especially since all of the GB games at the KC have had 20k+ crowds, last time round England played NZ in 2011 in front of 23.5K and a fantastic atmosphere.
However I have been disappointed by Hull City Council's lack of promotion for the event, they did a really good bid campaign to get the games staged here, yet have done little to promote them. The feeling you get is that they are still a bit miffed about missing out on the Semi final they bid for.
I also think that staging 3 games in one city (especially one so badly hit by the economic downturn) was a bad decision in hindsight, one of the PNG games may have been better at Doncaster instead. The tickets for the KC game are also double the cost of the England-Ireland game at Huddersfield.
Still there is 3 weeks until the first PNG game at Craven Park, and a month til the game at the KC. Still time to turn things around with the right promotion.

| Good point about 3 games in one city but you would expect the England game to do well and the others not so. I didn't notice that about pricing differences to Huddersfield, that is a shame but it must be the cost of using the stadium?

Possibly, but maybe the RFL just thought that as Semi finalists last time round Fiji could attract a more premium price?
the two games at Craven Park have had a 'buy one get one half price' offer on for months, which will have helped sales, and Rovers have a strong PNG connection via Stanley Gene, who has been plugging their games.
That said the '50 days' promo code is still live, so people can get tickets down the sides at the KC for £15 and on the ends for £7.50 which is still a lot less than what HullFC or even HullKR charge for SL games.
Ticket sales may also pick up when the Huddersfield game sells out, as fans in Yorkshire & Lancashire will start to realise that paying on the day won't be guaranteed, and that the KC will be the only chance of seeing England without a trek down to Cardiff.
