I ha forgotten about the Casty and Bousquet suspensions, and Elima has been out injured for so long that I had forgotten him too. But Baile, Cardace and Pala would not have made the side if healthy. Still it is true that yesterday Catalans were heavily undermanned, esp. without captain Casty, so I will withdraw my attributing that defeat by St Helens to the coaches.
Nevertheless there have been many other games where they have been listless, directionless and error prone. Morgan Escare is the one very bright spark in the backline, and Vincent Duport is an ever reliable bullocking runner in the centres. Taia, who is likely to be suspended this coming week for a high shot, is the main attacking forward. But the team leaks too many tries.
I would like to have the stats for tries conceded in 2012 and 2013 to compare.
