Watching the catalan v London game yesterday, Rob hicks put the three cats players on report. First one went to the video ref. From the replay we saw not only a shoulder charge, but an elbow to the head.
The second was not clear but iirc, it was pushing the players head into the floor?
The third was also a shoulder charge that went to the video ref.
Surely RH should have used his cards after 3 players on report? Especially the fact two incidents went to the video ref surely more than report should have been used.

Why? 3 separate incidents, unless it was the same player?

Dont quote me on this, but, I think there is something in place that says something along the lines of that if a referee puts someone on report, as a pose to sending a player off, there is a possibility that the player could be punished (banned) for longer as a pose to being shown a straight red card. I think that is due to the grading of foul play and the punishment they carry.

I'm saying that 2 out of 3 of the incidents went to the video ref. For the ref and video ref, seeing the replay would allow him to take action?

Also isn't a shoulder charge just a penalty? Unless there's contact with the head there's no card to be shown I believe.
