North Stand refurbishment should apparently be finished for the Northern Rail Cup Final on July 20th so it will have four operational stands as well for the first time in, well, ever?!

I think in a World Cup year, the RFL want to play it on the safe side, which is understandable. Sending thousand if Wigan fans down south, who will be buying up a lot of WC tickets, may stretch the finances too far. London WC fans probably won't watch the Broncos.
It's unfair on the neutral stakes, but I can see why they've opted for it.

6k of them turned out at Widnes at the last minute for a first round playoff game. I imagine plenty more would travel to a neighbour town for a CC semifinal.

We have been told that the RLWC has already made money. Are you suggesting that the removal of a neutral ground for this game is now about maximizing profit?
