| Quote: Andy Gilder "Cost and logistics also have to be borne in mind with such a short turnaround between the quarters and semi-finals.
Personally I'd play them both as a double-header somewhere on the M62 corridor. The concept of trying to find a venue somewhere inbetween the two teams is outdated IMO, and didn't seem to come into the equation when Leeds-Saints game were being played at Wigan for example.'"
They managed a two week turnaround between round 5 and the QF last year, with Cats v Wire televised. Semi final crowds have been poor here the past couple of years, take it to somewhere like Avignon and you are guaranteed a big crowd. Great PR too.

| I think in a World Cup year, the RFL want to play it on the safe side, which is understandable. Sending thousand if Wigan fans down south, who will be buying up a lot of WC tickets, may stretch the finances too far. London WC fans probably won't watch the Broncos.
It's unfair on the neutral stakes, but I can see why they've opted for it.

6k of them turned out at Widnes at the last minute for a first round playoff game. I imagine plenty more would travel to a neighbour town for a CC semifinal.

icons077e_files/4864-863FALH-msnicons.jpg How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?:icons077e_files/4864-863FALH-msnicons.jpg |

WTF
We have been told that the RLWC has already made money. Are you suggesting that the removal of a neutral ground for this game is now about maximizing profit?
Shame on the RFL
