He's 100% right. Our homegrown players are left disillusioned by our sport because clubs prefer signing 2nd rate overseas players. We have some talented RL players in the country but they never get a chance.
I know this sounds extreme but RL clubs in this country shouldnt be able to sign overseas players for a set amount of time to help develop our own RL talent.
It's just a bit of spin and it's ironic that this comes out at a time when there are fewer players coming over (due to the gulf in the respective salary caps)
The article should have come out 7 or 8 weeks ago to help stoke up ticket sales.
