has ganson ruled that nobody was in 10 metres of eden when the ball 1st bounced, and that it bounced back ten metres toward the chasers putting them onside ? . or if a ball has sufficient back spin n the defender does not take it do the chasers have to retreat away from the ball as it bounces back toward them ?

Ganson should come out and state why he gave it. If it was a mistake he should admit it. Refs make mistakes but not with numerous camera angles when it's as obvious as that one.

get real, at the end of the day this is a game of rugby, if we go down this route there will be legal action coming out of every game with a dodgy decision. there have been worse decisons, maradona handball, spurs 'goal' at old trafford a few years at least a metre over the line, lampards world cup 'goal' to name just 3 from football. i remember a dodgy lee smith try for leeds v bradofrd a few years back in this very same event. mistakes happen from players and officials its part of the game. what goes for you one week goes against on another occasion, that my friend is sport

The 10m only applies from where the player (in this case Eden) first touches the ball. As Eden doesn't touch the ball that doesnt apply.

The attackers have to retreat back 10m from the point the ball is first touched OR the kicker plays them on-side, if they were stood in an offside position when the kick was taken. It was a Hull KR penalty back just over half way & Ganson made the mother of all cock-up's & one that should probably cost him his job... it was that bad I am afraid!

He didn't touch it & Ganson never asked to see any close-up shots to even check if he had. Ganson made a blatant error, it was a game changing call & he got it wrong!
