Down to the way it was, 12 teams, top 5 playoffs. Increase the fixtures more fairly, maybe by all the teams that finished in the odd places play each other & the same with the even, rather than done on position.
Same in the championship, which are under more strict guidelines on promotion, the championship starts and finishes a month before SL to give the promoted team more time to sign players/prepare.
