I have never felt Brough was International quality for all the reasons given previously - this applied even when he was with Wakefield - it's you with the chip mate not me.
If you had the ability to listen and not be totally defensive you'd get what Im saying.
I agree that Brough is probably the most skilled and exciting British HB in the game today - assuming you don't consider Tomkins a HB. However that doesn't always cross over to the International game and if you really understood RL you'd know that. International play is all about temperament and the ability to make snap decisions under pressure whilst combining with players you often barely know. Thus IMO and it's only an opinion Broughy doesn't have that element in his game and never will - I honestly wish it were otherwise as I'm a huge England and Brough fan.
FWIW the best SH available is Myler at this level despite IMO being an inferior club player to Brough because he ha a steadier game that will trouble the Aussies more over 80 mins. This said neither are a match for the Aussies IMHO unless our pack really gets on top and I just can't see that over 2 or 3 games.'"
Nonsense, Myler's "steadier" game won't trouble the Aussies at all. Brough at least has the potential to cause disruption with his kicking game, even if he can be inconsistent (which he hasn't been this year).
