I think that hits the nail on the head "a decent SL winger". He has strength, he has speed, he has confidence. BUT he is also prone to weak defence and has a couple of errors he needs to get out of his game.

Once put up against a sizable winger in Colbon his attack seemed much less dangerous. I await the games against wingers like Richards, Briscoe and as previously mentioned Ryan Hall.

IMO he's far from an England winger and needs to concentrate on just performing for HKR. If the call comes then start to build him up but there are players in SL with more experience and more to offer than Alex who are over looked year on year.

Can't fault his first try against London though, regardless who he fended off, I don't think too many wingers in the league would have even attempted to go on the outside.

Even though Dixon was never going to stop him it was still a good try. He has the tools to make it as a SL winger and if he keeps scoring tries like that one he will keep his place in the team and become a better player for it.
