Do you seriously believe that if Salford got together a team that was competitive with Wigan, Leeds and Warrington the crowds would remain that low? I agree that it is a long term task to get the number of fans up to 10,000 and above on a regular basis, but sustained success will get the numbers up. |

Are you being serious?
Without looking, since we've I'd say we have survived being relegated on the last game of the season at least 3 times, been in the bottom 2 maybe 6 times and been in administration/IVA a couple of times. With a return of 0 Silverware 0 Finals and 2 playoff appearances - hardly regular mid table side! |

i laughed when i first heard it.... he may have been serious, but it was never going to happen.. But lets be honest, the offer did what it was designed to do. It showed everyone he is serious and and got RL some much needed publicity. The more wealthy owners we have in RL trying to buy the best players the better.
Salford will now be an attractive proposition for decent players, as they know that there will be plenty more on the way.... Hopefully with these decent players bigger crowds will come... Having another competitive team in the league will do it the world of good.
