| I agree with the above comment about more older statesmen but I think that's because of the lower amount of quality in and around the middle age group above "youngsters" but below your "veterans". Say between 25-29 by next season (Born 1984-1988). I could be wrong, but I'm struggling to think of many quality players in that bracket, such as Atkins & Hill for Warrington. For us, Bridge & Grix also fall in that bracket (4 out of 25). As a percentage (just guessing would be interesting to know if anyone could tell me) that this age bracket has a smaller quantity of players than your 30+ and 24- in the 14 SL squads top 25 only. Thing is players like Myler, Riley, Harrison, etc are not "youngsters" as such and been around SL for a while now but are still 24-. If this turns out to be the case, could anyone explain why?
Hodgson 34 YO. 2 year extension.
Morley 35 YO. 1 year extension.
Briers 34 YO. 1 year extension.
All of these will be 35+ by the time they hang up their boots. They might not be up to playing every week, but we have the squad to rotate these guys to keep them fresh for the "bigger" games. Improved sports science and conditioning will certainly help to keep players playing for longer, no doubt. But is it a good thing having players like Menzies around potentially holding back a youngster from getting SL experience? I'm not so sure. Using Briers and O'Brien as an example here, I'd be wanting Briers to go again.

Have to say that that 17 is as good as any other SL team will be able to put out.
Depending on injuries etc that team is capable of sliverware.
Not sure what you have as back up mind

| Final piece of the puzzle is this scrum half. We've got depth. We've got quality. We've got youth with huge potential. But we don't have a general and haven't for years. Please Scott! Come to Hull!

Both just reporting what the Hull Daily Mail has said. On Thursday Ellis said he'd told Miller to come to Hull and then yesterday the Mail had direct quotes from Prince's agent saying that Prince was very keen to join us and had even started looking online for properties in the area.
I guess we'll know one way or the other soon.

| Quote BrisbaneRhino="BrisbaneRhino"When Prince is on form he's easily one of the best attacking halfbacks around. When he's not, he's awful. The main difference is simply how much he takes on the line, as once he does start moving he's one of those players who creates space and options all around him. When he doesn't, he offers very little (he also disappears in defence at times). Last year for the Titans he was static for most of the season, but started to play again at the end of the season, and looked really impressive. Of all the halfbacks in the NRL its probably the gap between his best and worst which stands out.
If he's on form he'd be the best halfback in SL by some distance IMO. If he's not, everyone will wonder what the fuss is about.'"
Probably the best assessment of Prince on this thread.

That's the electronic equivalent of baring your ass in Hammonds' window. Well done.
