But tonight I've found the refereeing in the Wigan v Leeds game utterly shambolic.

The RL REALLY needs to sort this out. As a Blackpool lad I'm far from a Leeds fan - but IF I was - I'd be incandescent with rage.

It's becoming embarrassing for the sport. What exactly are touch judges for in this wonderful sport? They seem to do nothing. There are forward passes Quarterbacks would be proud of.

It's a shame.

Edit: As I type Leeds have scored. But it is DESPITE the officiating.

Shocking!.Its a good job the players have respect cos the dugouts and the crowds definately lack it.

Edit - Having said that,what iv'e seen at leigh miners and East has been quite tame to some of the things ive seen on video from yorkshire clubs.

Seriously though reffereeing is probably better now than it was. Some of the referees and reffereeing in general were disgraceful back in the day. ATEOTD we have the benefit of seing replay after replay at whatever speed we want. A ref has to make the call in a split second with bodies flying everywhere. They get some wrong but I doubt anyone hasn't ballsed something up in their own job(s).
