| Im a big fan of how Wigan have played over the last 3 years, very entertaining to watch, however i do think they are suffering from "big time charlie" syndrome. They have no right whatsoever to get the decisions from referees yet they are like Man Utd when decisions go against them and try to intimidate the official. I actually think James Child handed the game really well last night and you wont hear me saying that very often. Its not just One or two of them at it, it appears there is 5-6 of them who want to be in charge. Warrington are clear favs for the GF now in my opinion cos when the going gets tough they tough it out and tough it out legally not going in for all the messing around at the PTB trying to milk a pen ( Morning Mr Tomkins) or cheap shots.
Wane is not a good coach, he has inherited a very good squad from a previous coach, lets see how he goes next year when he loses some very good players. i expect Wigan to drop quite considerably next year and he will get found out. If im proved wrong so be it.
im all for defending your own players if as a quote has suggested he is trying to defend McIlorum but come on how can you defend the Indefendable, Sorry Shaun but McIlorum is a dirty little thug who got his just deserts last night

| Quote: Wigg'n "Listen to what Child says after he pulls McIlorum to him, he's discussing it with someone else. I've put it on YouTube if you wanna see it dude.
FYI, I'm not disputing the red card, just that Child and his touchies didn't realise the severity of it! No VR
I agree, he's def talking to someone, whether it's the VR I don't know but I'd agree it's more likely as the refs tend to speak to the TJ's face to face.
It's not a fact it'd be on report with no VR, the ref might well have had the balls to send him off.
Quote: Wigg'n "I haven't seen this particular incident but I have heard other referees asking the VR to check incidents of suspected foul play this season'"
Yep so have I, IIRC the Webb tackle in the Wakey v Leeds game wasn't even given as a penalty initially and if play hadn't been stopped due to the Wakey player needing treatment then I reckon play would have carried on. In that stoppage in play I'm sure the ref is talking to someone over the mic about the tackle. Again I can't 100% say it was the VR but I don't know who else he'd be talking to.

| Would people be happy to have the video ref more actively involved?
By that if he sees something he relays it to the ref during play, i would but only if an infringement was dealt with when there is a genuine stop in play. We all want the right decisions going on plus how many of us are sick of the 'cop out' report system.

I wouldn't mind but the Tanseygate came about from the VR doing exactly that but getting it wrong.

| O' donnell did nothing wrong it was all in the imagination of the match officials who decided that because kirke was lying injured then foul play must have been involved, not nice seeing a player prone like kirke was, but it was an unfortunate clash of heads, we are still awaiting official response from cummings/ RFL as to why LOD was sent off when none of the officials saw anything wrong at the time,it wasnt even a penalty, but decided nearly 10 mins later that he must have done something!
Disgracful, farcical and corrupt decision and not one word of apology or explanation, twice now LOD has been sent off v leeds for nothing.

One word - Alibert.
A pathetic excuse for a referee.
