Nah, it died quite a while ago to be fair...this is just another nail in the coffin. It is just a cosy club where the current incumbents can decide and dictate who they want to join and on what basis, without any reference to the rest of RL. At the very least, could they not have gone through the motions of a mini-franchise bid to at least give a thin veener of being above board? On second thoughts, that would be a waste of money for the hapless Championship clubs who were conned into applying.

I think it's a proud moment for the game. It's great how clubs stick together like a family to help out a troubled club. Salford, Castleford and London must be breathing a huge sigh of relief knowing that their future is insured by their fellow league members. I am over the moon and i must confess, teary eyed.

Well despite years of trying the pundits on 5live still refer to League as a minority sport. They are right and the lack of a major sponsor kind of backs that up. The upper echelons need refreshing, its as simple as that. As for Championship 1 next season....that will prove a costly pointless exercise which may just remove the likes of rochdale and oldham from our game forever.
