| Just for Him and Smokey befor they ask. Blackpool Scarbrough are teams that could have been helped by the RFL and would still be with us today but the RFL let them die.

Here we go! Someone always has to bring a Bronco into the argument. Look, this is about Bradford, not London. Pack it in!

| Quote Him="Him"So can you answer the question then?
Which clubs have been relegated for going into administration?
I've asked it a few times now but no-one seems able or willing to answer it. I can only imagine because the answer might not fit with their conspiracy theorist views.'"
Nobody has been relegated for going into admin, although the Crusaders effectively relegated themselves as they couldn't afford to continue.
However, following the difficulties at Crusaders and Wakefield, the RFL said it had tightend the rules and would revoke the licence of any failing clubs.
At the time, this appeared to be pointed at Wakefield, who have themselves been visited by a delegation from the RFL to ensure that they were keeping the promises that were made to the RFL.
The Bulls have failed, financially and on this basis, according to the RFL statement, they should expect their licence to be revoked and here is where further problems arise.
There isn't a ready made replacement of SL standard in either Halifax or Toulouse, both of these clubs would need a significant re-vamp to be able to compete in SL and they may not wish to join SL for a 2 year (remaining term of this franchise period)
Can the competition work with 13 clubs, which would cause imbalance in the current fixture programme, probably not.
So, what is the best solution ?

Yes SL could work with 13 clubs. SL will not end if there are only 13 clubs. It just means the RFL will have to get off their s and implement a solution.

| I don't understand why it's so desirable to revoke Bradford's licence?! What will it prove? Other than a few keyboard warriors relishing in the demise of a SL club? The only people that got Bradford in this mess will be the only people not to be affected by this. I can't understand why people think that they will just carry on as normal if they stay in SL. Administration and cuts to budget combined with the staff made redundant already will be a big blow to the club.
Wakefield fans astound me most about this, after all the trouble you went through! I agree SLE buying them is a bit off, but if they find a buyer why should they be made an example of?
I can't decide if it's jealousy at Bradford, hope that if Bradford has its licence revoked and thrown on the scrap heap that it will guarantee their team another licence come renewals, or just simply to have a moan about the way the RFL is run.

The problem for fans of the smaller clubs is the double standards applied within the league.
As stated previously, if this situation had arisen at Cas, Salford, Wakefield, Widnes or KR, then thy would be dropped from the competition without too much of a second thought, wheras the Bulls although having made a number of staff redundant, which nobody wants to see, continue to make progess towards the play offs with a full playing staff.
IF they had sold some of their stars, whom they cant afford, in the close season then some of this mess could have beed averted.
There is no pleasure in seeing a club struggle, as you said, some of us know this from first hand experience but, lets apply the rules evenly and protect all of our clubs, not just the ones with a "big" name and IF a smalle club would have had its licence revoked for "breaking the rules", then this should apply accross the board.

You read my post with numerous questions regarding your motive to revoking Bradford's licence and can only comment on a figure of speach unrelated to the CC? So you fall into one of those three categories at the bottom then?

Just interested to see peoples perception of the sport and its various facets , I have no opinion either way on Bradford , other than if SLE buy them , they should not remain in SL
But as I said , interesting to see how people view the Championships

Its not a double standard, its two different issues being treated differently.
Im not sure why some fans are so desperate to pretend each situation is the same when it quite clearly isn’t other than it gives them an excuse and a bogeyman to blame
You’re reading of the situation is beyond naïve. It may very well be that had Bradford ‘sold their stars’ in this symbolic bloodletting to appease you, that they would have had fewer fans come watch, brought in less from ticket and miscellaneous sales and simply brought about this situation earlier.
And it isn’t a ‘big name’ it is a ‘big club’.
