We've got two Jamaican international players here at the Coventry Bears, and have just started a partnership with the Jamaica Rugby League to bring more players over to gain more experience and possibly look at scholarships.

Our new signing Tyrone Rowe has blitzed the NCL with the way he plays, our CoventryBearsTV channel on the 'tube' shows some of his stunning tries this season... and he says he's only the 10th fastest in the Reggae Warriors squad.

Great stuff BP. This is a way for the teams looking to enter CC1 in 2013 (hopefully that includes the Bears) to bolster their squads whilst aiding players from developing nations.

Very much so deluded pom. There's a big untapped pool of players from developing RL countries which can make a big impact on clubs like ours, and if we are to make it into C1 (everything crossed) we'll need to make partnerships like the one we have with Jamaica.

It benefits everyone and helps RL to develop on the whole.

Not sure when there will be any announcements on the remaining spot. We're planning for next season with what we know (which isn't a great deal at this stage). We're aiming to progress regardless so are ramping things up anyway.
