Quote j.c="j.c"Wont the bankrolling of bradford come from the sky money or the current sl clubs themselves not the rfl?'"
If accepted, London Broncos and the other 12 SL clubs will all own 7.7% of the Bradford Bulls and therefore, will be liable for 7.7% of the running costs of the club. The money used to bail out Bradford since January this year comes from the SL Kitty......which is itself run by the RFL and is made up predominantly of SKY TV cash.
Regardless of who signs the cheques, this money would be better spent developing the game rather than propping up a badly run business. The only reason the RFL/SL have made a bid is to protect their investment in Oddslum. If Bradford Bulls vanish, they (the RFL) will own the lease on a stadium that nobody will want to pay to use.
As I say, a dangerous precedent is being set by the RFL and as much as it may sound nasty.....Bradford Bulls should have been let die instead of being propped up by the other member clubs.
It is often said that no player is bigger than a club, or that no club is bigger than the game, but it would seem that Bradford Bulls are deemed bigger than RL itself.
