As much as I love RL, I just don't think it lends itself to being a video game. Soccer games are essentially Pong; move the ball from one side of the screen to the other. But RL has such different rules, in terms of the attack and defence running in two lines across the pitch, forward passes etc. Even trying to pick a camera angle that offers the best way to control the players is tricky; if you look straight on, you can't judge who is in front of whom, if you look from the touchline you can't see where the defense are.
The release date hasn't been pushed back at all, November 16th was a made up date by the retailers to make sure people weren't put off buying it due to no release date, the first time Tru Blu came out and said a release date was a few days ago saying it was the 30th November, because the likes of Amazon and play.com put it down as the 16th everybody seems to think that was the release date.
