It's only an asset that they paid £1.25m for.
Why shouldn't they gift it to the newco?

They will erect a statue at Odsal of Nigel Wood. They'll have to knock the Richard Dunn sports centre down to house it though.

I think George got his words twisted.
Guilfoyle confirmed: “For the deal to go through we need the RFL to agree to us remaining in the top division and buying the ground back from them.

Sounds like blackmail to me.
The RFL didn't give such assurances to a potential owner of Wakefield when they were in administration so they shouldn't give them to any potential owner of Bradford either.
But I rather think they will.

Why is it so easy for people to jump to conclusions? The exact news release in full sounds nothing like blackmail!
Quote SaintsFanBulls administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has warned that the deal for the club’s potential buyers would be dependent on conditions.
He explained that the RFL and the 13 other Super League clubs must consent to allow Bradford to remain in the top flight of English rugby league and permit the new owners to buy back the Odsal lease.
Guilfoyle confirmed: “For the deal to go through we need the RFL to agree to us remaining in the top division and buying the ground back from them.
“We need the other clubs to agree that Super League is a poorer place without us.”'"

The RFL refused to make such assurances to an [iextremely[/i wealthy potential buyer of WTW, which is what prompted him to walk away from the deal.
Back then, a SL licence was NOT for sale - I wonder if that remains the case?

| Why would an investor be interested in putting money into a club if said club is going to be dropped out of the league?
If that was to happen, why not wait until the club is liquidated, pick up the pieces for next to nothing and start again.

So the new interested party isnt a ' predator ' in the same way the interested party was earlier in the year?

| It makes this joke post I made a couple of years ago seem rather prophetic!
Quote In a shock move today, Bradford bulls have been bought by Asian food mogul Mr. Ram Jam Buttyman who has not only pledged to take the club into a new era of success, but to bridge links with the local community.
Mr Buttyman has revealed plans to build a super mosque which will totally enclose a 25,000 capacity all kneeling stadium. The soon to be renamed bulls will ground share with a local Kabaddi team and Mr Buttyman expects dual registration between some of the players. He commented that the Bulls appear experts at avoiding physical contact so they should make great Kabaddi players.
He revealed a revolutionary all new black latex one piece Burka as his home kit, and expects brisk replica sales in the city centre. The away kit is yet to be revealed but is thought to be equally forward thinking.
He commented that the new kit gave him the idea for the new team name – The Bradford Burks which he thought sounded rather catchy. He was also very pleased that coach Macca was changing his name to Mecca as a show of support. The coach commented “we can take a lot of positives out of this”.
PS this is just a bit of fun – absolutely no racial puns intended. I tried Bradford Kilts, ponchos and togas but they didn’t have the same ring about them.'"
